China!

We arrived Sunday evening in Shanghai after a 15 hour time warp. It is actually 14 hours later here than Texas. Stephen and I only slept for about an hour on the plane, so we were pretty exhausted by the time we got to our hotel. I am realizing how much our fearless leader of our SuperKids trip last September translated for us, as no one here that I have met speaks very much English, with the exception of our guide, who won't be with us until Tuesday. Unfortunately, my Google Translate app only works with wifi, so I'm out of luck outside of the hotel.

The hotel is lovely and is still set up for Christmas. Our driver, who spoke no English, and wasn't to interested in interacting with us anyway, got us checked into the hotel. My room key envelope says, "Mrs. Angela" (my middle name), so I guess I will just go with that for the week! Our bathroom is really something, with a heated toilet seat and all sorts of buttons that go with it that we aren't about to try!
So, now we are on our way to the Yuyuan Gardens and Market, and the Bund. Our hotel is somewhere along the Bund, so it shouldn't be too far. When I was here in September we went to the Yu Gardens (well ok, just the market) and so now I know all of the things I wish I would have bought back then!

We will be picking up Annie tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 9:30am! This will be 7:30pm Monday evening for Texas folks. Please pray that her little heart will be prepared for us, and that she won't be too scared.
