Yu Gardens (And One More Day!!!)

Stephen and I had a great time at the Yuyuan Market today. Stephen was amazed at how big the market was, and how many people were there, although I told him there were way fewer people than the last time I was here. I decided to get some of my shopping done before our new little ones come. A silky Chinese robe for Kate, a tea set to save for Annie when she’s older, and a small decorative brass teapot from the same vendor I bought something from last fall.

We came back to the hotel and were going to just drop off our purchases and take a little break before heading out to the Bund, but Stephen’s jet lag kicked in, so we are just going to take it easy for the afternoon.

One more day until our lives and our sweet girl’s change forever. I so wish that we had had all of the last 7 years of her life to be with her, but I am so grateful that she will be in our lives forever and always now. I have no idea if or when they have told her about us. Jason knew about us and saw pictures of us for months before we came for him. I do understand, though, why the orphanages sometimes choose to wait, and I respect that. I just hope it won’t be too hard of a transition for her.

How am I ever going to sleep tonight?!?!
